Representation of member’s issues/ interests to other business associations and to all levels of government in Australia and Malaysia.
Providing access to the the Malaysian Government agencies, namely Malaysia High Commission, Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI), Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), Malaysian Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-based Business (MoA) and Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC).
- Facilitation of trade and investment enquiries
The Council acts as a facilitators and disseminate information relating to trade and investment opportunities, practices and regulations in Malaysia. We also act as a conduit between those parties interested in trading and investing in Malaysia and the Malaysian Government agencies.
- Networking opportunities
The Council hosts regular networking events which provides opportunity for members to network with fellow members and the wider business community in NSW through joint events. We also help members to establish and develop business contacts in Malaysia through the use of AMBC/ MABC (Malaysia-Australia Business council)’s contacts and counterparts in Malaysia.

The Council regularly hosts delegations of business people and government representatives from Malaysia.
- ASEAN Focus
The Council recognises the importance of Malaysia as a hub for business within the broader ASEAN region. As such the Council regularly engages and hosts joint events with the Business Councils from the ASEAN countries to ensure that members can benefit from business opportunities in the ASEAN region.
