AMBC Cross-border Webinar on Crisis Communication and Management – 28 May 2020
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the Australia Malaysia Business Council (AMBC) has been organising a series of informative and educational webinars for our members.
On Thursday 28 May 2020, AMBC hosted its second webinar of the year Crisis Communication and Management.
AMBC invited fellow AMBC and Malaysia Australia Business Council (MABC) member John Thompson, and Malaysia-based strategic communication consultant Indira Nair, to teach audience members strategies and tips to effectively communicate to their employees, customers and stakeholders during this COVID-19 crisis.
Profile of John Thompson
John has extensive experience in media and public relations. He has held leadership roles with the ABC, NSW Police Force and the Royal Australian Navy and had managed responses for a wide range of critical incidents: from terrorism attacks to political scandals; from natural disasters to major crime; and from industrial incidents to large-scale industrial disputes.
For the last three years he has been based in Kuala Lumpur working with clients in the transport, infrastructure, defence, finance, health, sports and entertainment, government and not-for-profit sectors.
He recently presented a similar webinar to the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
